I have been eating all day long and I'm not even full, and I had this dream where I could animorph into a deer and the cops had a problem with that and they chased me through the whole school. Terrifying. I can't even begin to decipher that shit.
caUSE Co-MOTION! - It's Time!
With all the songs being under two minutes, these guys sound like a less tropical Brooklyn Abe Vigoda, and I love every inch of it. They're cover of "Falling Again" by the Marine Girls rules so much, and makes it even more obvious that the early 80s lo-fi girl group were a major influence.
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Fucking Joy Division, that's all I can say, and that's all I have to say.
The Beatles - Hey Jude
I have been listening record to this a lot lately. This has only been released on vinyl, but the songs can now be found on either A Hard Day's Night or Past Masters Vol. 2. I think the main reason I have been listening to this so much is because I'll put it on at work, but because it was released in stereo but not mono, and our record player can't handle stereo, only half the parts come through in the weirdest way, and it feels like I'm listening to all these songs for the first time. All of the songs sound either stripped down or mixed differently, and it gives me the opportunity to hear drum parts or harmonies that are often in the background. Usually I find these songs overplayed and prefer not to listen to them, but these versions are so different that they become personal to the record player and I am the only one that gets to experience it. If you haven't been influenced by the Beatles then you've spent your whole life listening to Black Sabbath, and there isn't anything wrong with that.
